Obituary of Lewis D Lolli

In loving memory of Lewis (Babe) D. Lolli, 88 of Buena who passed away on Tuesday November 18, 2014 after a courageous 3 year battle with cancer. He was born in Vineland NJ to the late Levio and Susan (Gruccio) Lolli. Lewis was a Navy veteran of WWII. Upon his return from service he worked in the poultry business before turning to a 40+year career in the glass industry. He loved his sports and spent many years playing baseball before turning to coaching. The Yankees, Notre Dame and the Philadelphia sports teams could be found on his TV on any given night. He was active in the community with many organizations. Served as president and board member of the Buena School system, active member of the Richland Fire Company, Buena Little Leagues, Buena football, Buena township politics, St Joseph and St Mary churches and Vineland bowling leagues to name a few. Lewis is survived by his wife of 65 years Rose Marie (Petrini) Lolli and his brother Kenneth Lolli. He was predeceased by his sister Janet (Lolli) Romeo. His children: David Lolli, Gary & Vicki Lolli, Sue Ann Levari & partner Doug Dea and Glenn & Angie Lolli. Grandchildren: David, Gary, Steven, Brian, Briana, Alexandrea, Reno and Janet. Great Granddaughter Sofia. Friends and family are asked to come pay their respects on Monday November 24th from 9:00am - 11:00am at Our Lady of Pompeii church on Dante Avenue in Vineland with a mass to follow.
