Obituary of Salvatore Michael Nicastro

Salvatore Michael (Sal) Nicastro, 69, of Clayton, NJ passed away on December 13, 2014 in his residence. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Church; Vineland, NJ on Friday December 19, 2014 at 10:30 am with Monsignor Burton of Sacred Heart Church officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland, NJ. Visitation will be held at Rone Funeral Home; Vineland, NJ on Thursday December 18, 2014 from 7:00pm until 9:00pm and Friday December 19, 2014 from 9:00am until 10:00 am. Rone Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements. Salvatore Nicastro was born in Vineland, NJ to Michael and Pauline Nicastro on February 13, 1945. He went to high school at Delsea Regional and graduated in 1962. He went on to earn a license as a barber and cosmetologist. He worked as a self-employed barber for Nicastro's House of Beauty for 51 years. Sal enjoyed the relationships he made with his customers and the friendships he made during all of his years of service. Sal was also a man who believed in strong family traditions and enjoyed spending time with his family when he was not working. He served in the National Guards and received 4th degree honors from the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his children: daughter Danielle Nicastro, son Michael Nicastro, Sr. and grandson Michael Nicastro, Jr., sister Philomena Charlson, brother in law Deane Charlson, brother in law Gary Crumling and sister in law Carol Crumling and mother in law Betty Miller and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Yvonne Nicastro, his mother Pauline Nicastro and his father Michael Nicastro. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Sal's memory.
