Obituary of Thomas A Carastro

Thomas A. Carastro, 50, passed away on Wednesday, June 10th, 2015 after an extended illness. Tommy was born to Beverly A. (Caterina) Carastro and Mario M. Carastro on September 2, 1964. He was a resident of Landisville, NJ for most of his life where he attended Buena Regional High School and later resided in Vineland, NJ. Tommy enjoyed the simple things in life, his Budweiser, his car, The WWE, and his beloved dog Blue. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and adored his daughter Brittany, and his two beautiful grandsons. As a young man Tommy enjoyed boxing and weightlifting and was very successful in both. As a career Tommy followed the many generations before him as a very skilled and detailed plasteror in the construction field. He took a lot of pride in his workmanship. He was very talented and enjoyed learning and then later teaching the many unique techniques of the masonry field. He was a dedicated member of the Local 2 Union and was a very hard worker and strived to please all with his expertise and skillfulness. He was a loving father and grandfather, a wonderful son and brother, a caring uncle, cousin and nephew and a loyal friend. He will be missed dearly by all. He is survived by his mother Beverly A. (Caterina) Carastro of Vineland, NJ, his father Mario M. Carastro of Phildelphia, PA, his daughter Brittany A. Carastro and boyfriend D'Andre Bailey, grandsons Elijah Bailey, age 4 and Darious Negron Jr., 6 months old of Millville, NJ, his twin brother Mario A. Carastro and wife Laura of Cortlandt Manor, NY, his sisters Stephanie A. (Zanni) Carastro, Danielle T. Carastro and fiancee Eric Flanagan, and Lori A. Zorzi and husband Darin all of Vineland, NJ. Aunt and unclesJohn and Catherine DellaVecchia of Marlton, NJ and Thomas Caterina of Vineland, NJ, stepfather Louis Negron and wife Donna of Vineland, NJ, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Mario and Nancy Carastro. His maternal grandparents, Thomas Caterina and Mamie (Capano) Caterina and his sister Nancy L. Carastro
