Obituary of Lawrence N Zitto

LAWRENCE NICHOLAS ZITTO August 21, 1941 - July 5, 2015 Lawrence Nicholas Zitto of Richland NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday. Predeceased by his loving wife, Lois Ann (nee Ploucher), Larry is survived by their two children, Valerie Ann Greco and Lawrence Anthony, daughter-in-law Missy (Savidge), and beloved grandchildren Olivia Ann and Aidan Nicholas Greco, and Paige Isla and Luca Anthony Zitto. Larry was a graduate of Vineland High School, performed military service in the Army National Guard, and served his community on the Township of Buena Zoning and Planning Boards. Larry pursued a career in poultry vaccines and animal health products as an executive with IGI, Inc. until his children were grown, then partnered with his son to succeed his father and brother in running the family business of more than 50 years, the Crest Bike Rental in Wildwood Crest NJ. Besides the delight of his grandchildren, Larry enjoyed a good science fiction show, table games in Atlantic City, and especially hunting, fishing, and golf. Larry is also survived by his brother Don and wife Johanna (Selvaggi), his sister Janet Gildea and husband Tom, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will truly miss his dry wit. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Larry's memory to American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill NJ 08034. Services will be held Thursday morning, July 9, at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 4680 Dante Avenue, Vineland NJ 08361. Visitation hours are from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church, immediately followed by a Mass of Christian burial.
